We want to remind you that the health and safety of our members and employees is, as always, one of our top priorities. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have implemented numerous measures to help ensure we can provide you with a safe and positive experience.
GYM CAPACITY: The Department of Health has limited all gyms to a maximum capacity to 33% at any one time in order to maintain a safe social distance between our members and staff.
MEMBER RESERVATIONS: To accommodate physical distancing and create a safe environment, you must book each gym visit in advance. For the time being, gym visits are limited to one hour.
Sign-Up Genius is a software program/mobile application we will be using to make reservations to use the gym. A link will be emailed to our current members daily. The reservation window will be open between 7am-7pm for members to book the following day’s visit. For instance, you will get a link this Sunday to reserve a spot for Monday. If you should miss the signup window, you can call the gym at (631)726-6049 on the day of your desired visit to check the available hours.
GUESTS/DAILY MEMBERS: To prioritize our members ability to use the gym, non-member daily visits will be available on a stand-by basis subject to club capacity. Please call the gym (631)726-6049 on the day of your desired visit to check on availability.
Please do not drop in to the gym without making a reservation or you may be turned away.
GYM SANITIZATION: To meet the CDC guidelines, the gym will close periodically during the day for cleaning of equipment and high touch areas. Therefore, you must use the Sign-Up Genius or call to make a reservation.
HEALTH DECLARATION: On each visit to the gym you will be asked to sign a covid health screen, stating that you have not been in contact with anyone who has the virus and that you are not experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, etc. Touch-free temperature checks will be required upon each entry to the gym. If our device shows that your temperature is higher than the lesser of CDC (100.4) you will not be permitted access to the gym.
MASKS: Everyone, including staff and members are required to bring and wear a mask at all times while in the gym. The mask MUST cover your nose and mouth. You will not be permitted in the gym without a proper face covering. Gators, bandanas and buffs are not allowed as per the Department of Health.
PHYSICAL DISTANCING: To facilitate physical distancing, we have reduced the number of cardio and strength machines for use. We must limit the time to 30-minutes on all cardio equipment during busy hours. Please be mindful, if other members are waiting to use a machine.
Regarding the weight room, when you choose an exercise/machine to use, please complete your set(s), wipe down the machine, bench and equipment thoroughly with available disinfectant, then move on to your next exercise or machine.
We ask that you do not share equipment with other members who are not in your household. In this way, we hope to reduce shared contact. In addition, each room will have a sign with a capacity limit. Please respect these limits.
GROUP FITNESS CLASSES: Due to the size of the classroom, all indoor classes have been suspended at this time. There are outdoor classes on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 9:30am that incorporate the Keiser bikes, rowers, weights, and mats. Our staff does regular and comprehensive cleaning of all equipment before and after each class.
LOCKER ROOMS/RESTROOMS: While our restrooms will be open, all showers and lockers will not be in use until further notice. We will continue to provide towels, however, we do encourage you to bring your own.
CANCELLATION: To best manage gym capacity and trainer availability, our policy of requiring twenty-four hour notice for personal training and massage clients will be strictly enforced.
Regarding gym reservations made through Sign-up Genius, no shows are not acceptable and may lead to the inability to make a gym reservation until the day of. This can greatly limit your preferred times.
MEMBERSHIPS: All memberships were frozen as of March 16, 2020. If you had a monthly-billed EFT membership, when we reopen, your account will be prorated for the two weeks in March that the gym was closed. You will not be billed again until a gym representative reaches out to you.
If you had a paid in full membership, the time that is due to you will be added to your membership. You will have until January 31st, 2021 to begin your membership. Please know that our plan will remain flexible based on future developments and the Department of Health guidelines.
